Terms of Service.
The short version: it is your wedding and your data, and we run the software.
These terms are an agreement between you and Shuubh about your use of the Shuubh website, wedding workspace, published wedding websites, invitation tools and guest RSVP pages. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with data.
The service
Shuubh provides a wedding workspace (guest list, events, event matrix, RSVP, timeline, messaging), a wedding website builder, and an invitation and save-the-date editor with digital and print-ready exports. Features are described honestly on this site; anything marked as in development or pending is not yet part of the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to create an account. If you use Shuubh on behalf of a couple or a family, you confirm that you have the authority to do so. Shuubh is built for weddings in the United States and Canada, but we do not promise that it is suitable or lawful for use in every place.
Your account
Give us an accurate email address. You can sign in with a password or with a one-time sign-in link sent to your email. Keep your credentials and your email inbox private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your wedding workspace, including the role and side you give each of them.
You can sign out of all your sessions from your account settings. If you believe someone has used your account without permission, tell us through the contact page as soon as you can.
Acceptable use
Use Shuubh for weddings and related celebrations. You agree not to:
- send unsolicited commercial messages, or message people who have asked not to hear from you;
- upload or publish content you do not have the rights to, or content that is unlawful, harassing or infringing;
- try to reach another wedding's, household's or side's data, or any part of the service you have not been given access to;
- scrape the service, run automated bulk access, reverse engineer it, attack it with load, or get around rate limits or other safeguards;
- resell or redistribute our designs, templates or software.
Your content and your guests' data
You own what you put into Shuubh: your guest list, photos, wording and website content. You give us a limited licence to host, copy, display, transmit and export that content, only as needed to run the service for you.
You confirm that you have a lawful basis to enter your guests' details, that you have any consent needed to contact them by email and, where it is enabled, by WhatsApp, and that you will honour their requests to stop receiving messages. Shuubh supports this with an unsubscribe link in every email sent for a couple, per-guest, per-channel consent records, and a WhatsApp STOP reply that is honoured across all weddings. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you and your helpers enter. We process guest data only to run your wedding, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Guest access links and codes
A guest link or code is tied to one household in one wedding. Anyone who holds the link can reply for that household, so treat it like a key and share it only with the people it is meant for. You can close RSVP at any time, and issuing a new individual code for a guest retires that guest's previous one. Guests see only the events they are invited to.
Free, Plus and Premium
Setting up a wedding is free. The Free plan includes up to 75 guests, 2 events and no bulk messaging. The Plus plan includes up to 200 guests, 5 events and 500 messages per wedding, counted per recipient. The Premium plan includes unlimited guests, 15 events and unlimited messaging. Opening RSVP to guests requires Plus or Premium, each a one-time payment per wedding at the price shown on the pricing page; upgrading from Plus to Premium costs only the difference. When a wedding reaches a plan limit, that action is blocked until the plan is upgraded. Print-ready files may be offered as a separate one-time purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled case by case; write to us.
Payments and refunds
Purchases are one-time payments made through Stripe Checkout. The price is shown at checkout, along with any taxes Stripe calculates. We never receive or store your card number. We keep the order, the Stripe session and payment identifiers, and the event records Stripe sends us about your payment.
Refunds remain case by case. Write to us through the contact page and we will look at your situation.
Print files and exports
Print-ready PDFs are generated on our servers using Chrome-based rendering. They are produced from an RGB source, and an optional CMYK conversion is available; colours on press can differ from what you see on screen. You are responsible for proofing wording, spelling, dates, and bleed and trim before you send a file to a printer.
Download links for purchased print files expire one hour after they are issued, so download your file promptly. You can download your guest list as a CSV file at any time.
Designs and templates
Website designs, invitation cards, patterns and templates are licensed to you for your own wedding. You may not resell or redistribute them, and our marks and design assets remain ours.
Third-party services
Shuubh relies on other companies to run: Fly.io for hosting, Tigris for file storage, Resend for email, Stripe for payments, and the Meta WhatsApp Business Platform where WhatsApp messaging is enabled. Each is governed by its own terms. Registry links and custom domains that you add point to services we do not control, and we are not responsible for them.
Intellectual property
The Shuubh software, name, logo, templates and design system belong to us or our licensors. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Shuubh up, especially on your wedding weekend, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or retire features; if a change removes something you rely on, we will give notice where we reasonably can.
Ending your account
You can stop using Shuubh at any time. Before you go, export your guest list as a CSV file. To have your wedding or account deleted, ask us through the contact page and we will do it. This is a request handled by a person, not a button in the product.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, is abused, is not paid for where payment is due, or where the law requires it. We will give notice where we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should continue after the account ends, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and dispute resolution, continue.
Disclaimers
Shuubh is provided as is and as available. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free. We cannot guarantee that an email or WhatsApp message is delivered or read, because that depends on providers and on recipients' settings. Print shops and printers are not ours. We do not give legal or tax advice.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for the wedding in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Indemnification
You agree to cover us against third-party claims and reasonable costs, including reasonable attorney's fees, that arise from your content, from guest details you entered without a lawful basis, from messages you asked us to send, from your breach of these terms, or from your violation of the law or someone else's rights. We may take over the defense of a claim we are entitled to be covered for, and you will cooperate with us on it.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and, for people with an account, by email. If you keep using Shuubh after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Resolving disputes
Talk to us first: write through the contact page and give us a chance to fix the problem. If we cannot resolve it within 60 days, here is how it gets resolved:
Arbitration. Except for the small-claims option below, you and Shuubh agree to resolve any dispute through binding, individual arbitration rather than in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its rules then in effect, seated in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The arbitrator's decision is final, and a judgment on it may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
No class actions. Disputes are arbitrated (or, if you opt out, litigated) only on an individual basis. Neither of us can bring a claim as a class action, a class arbitration, or on behalf of anyone else. If a court or arbitrator decides this class waiver cannot be enforced for a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court rather than in arbitration, and the rest of this section stays in effect.
Small claims. Either side can instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court, if the claim qualifies.
Opting out. You can opt out of this arbitration section entirely by writing to us through the contact page within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms — or, if you already had an account before this section existed, within 30 days of this version's effective date. If you opt out, disputes between us go to the state or federal courts located in Wyoming instead, and each side consents to that venue.
General
If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If we do not enforce a term right away, that is not a waiver of it. We may transfer these terms to a successor in a merger or sale of the business, on the same terms. Nobody else has rights under these terms except as stated here.
